Sell-side M&A · Broadband only
ISP Brokerage and Sell-Side M&A Advisory
ISP Advisor is a specialist ISP broker. We represent fiber operators, wireless internet service providers, and regional broadband companies through the full sale process — valuation, buyer identification, diligence, and close.
14 completed ISP transactions since 2021, backed by $10B+ in collective deal experience. We work only in this sector, which means we already know who is buying, what they are paying, and what will break your deal in diligence.
That is not how broadband companies trade.
Most business brokers have never sold an internet service provider.
They price your company off a revenue multiple pulled from a generalist database, list it on a public marketplace, and hope a strategic buyer wanders past.
A generalist broker sells your business. A specialist ISP broker sells your network — and the two are valued very differently.
What an ISP broker actually does
Buyers in this market underwrite your network
If your broker cannot speak to these in the first buyer call, your valuation gets discounted for perceived risk.
Subscriber economics
ARPU, churn by cohort, and penetration rate against homes passed.
Network quality
Fiber versus fixed wireless mix, backhaul contracts, spectrum position, and age of the plant.
Serviceable footprint
Homes passed versus homes connected, and how much of your territory is genuinely defensible.
Contract & franchise position
Pole attachment agreements, IRUs, municipal franchises, and tower leases.
Grant exposure
BEAD, RDOF, and USDA ReConnect obligations that transfer with the asset.
We have seen it repeatedly
Deals discounted — or quietly killed — because the broker could not defend the network story in diligence.
Our sell-side process
Five stages, one outcome: a competitive close
Confidential valuation
We build a defensible range from comparable broadband transactions, not generic small-business multiples. No cost, no obligation, and nothing leaves our hands. See our current view on WISP and fiber valuation multiples.
Preparation
Most ISPs are not sale-ready when they first call us. We clean up subscriber reporting, normalize financials to EBITDA a buyer will accept, and resolve the documentation gaps that stall diligence. How long this takes depends on the state of your books when we start — we will tell you honestly at the valuation stage.
Confidential marketing
We approach a vetted list of strategic acquirers, private equity platforms, and infrastructure funds already active in broadband. Your staff, customers, and competitors do not find out. No public listing, ever.
Competitive process
Multiple credible bidders is the single largest determinant of final price. We run a structured process with deadlines rather than negotiating with one interested party.
Diligence and close
We manage the data room, coordinate your attorney and accountant, and keep the deal moving through the period where most transactions quietly die.
